Welcome to PetKnow: Why We're Building the Pet Care App We Wished Existed

If you're here, welcome.

Whether you've found us through social media, joined our beta programme, or simply stumbled across PetKnow while searching for a better way to organise your pet's care, we're so glad you're here.

Every pet deserves better organisation

Being a pet owner is one of the most rewarding experiences in the world, but it can also be surprisingly complicated.

Vaccination records are often written on a card. Insurance documents are attached to an email somewhere. Medication reminders are self set up on your phone. Vet appointments are written on the calendar. And when you need information quickly, you're often searching through emails, paperwork, or multiple apps trying to find what you need.

That's why we started building PetKnow.

Where the idea came from

Like many great ideas, PetKnow started with a real-life problem.

After experiencing a veterinary emergency with our own dog, we realised how difficult it was to quickly access important information. Medical history, insurance details, previous treatments, it was all scattered across different places.

In stressful moments, every minute matters.

That experience sparked a simple question:

What if everything a pet owner needs could live in one place?

Not just records, but reminders, appointments, medications, health information, and eventually a community of pet owners helping one another.

That question became PetKnow.

What is PetKnow?

PetKnow is an all-in-one pet care companion designed specifically for UK pet owners.

Our goal isn't to replace your vet, instead we aim to help you become a more informed, organised, confident and social pet owner.

With PetKnow you'll be able to:

  • Create profiles for all of your pets
  • Keep vaccinations and medical records organised
  • Track medications and receive reminders
  • Never miss another vet appointment
  • Store important information in one secure place
  • Access emergency resources when you need them most

And this is only the beginning.

We're already planning exciting future features that will make caring for pets even easier.

Built alongside pet owners

One thing that's incredibly important to us is listening.

PetKnow isn't being built behind closed doors.

As we launch our beta and continue developing new features, we'll be sharing updates, asking for feedback, and letting real pet owners help shape the future of the app.

The best ideas come from people using the app every day. Developers just implement those ideas.

If something could make your life easier, we want to hear about it.

What you'll find on this blog

This blog will become a hub for everything PetKnow.

We'll be sharing:

  • Pet health and care advice
  • Product updates and new features
  • Behind-the-scenes development stories
  • Breed spotlights
  • Seasonal pet safety guides
  • Tips to help you become an even better pet owner

PetKnow is currently set up for dog and cat owners, but we want to expand to include rabbits, birds, reptiles or even something a little more unusual (we're looking at you, sugar glider owners).

Join us on the journey

PetKnow is still growing.

Every feature, every update, and every improvement is driven by one goal: making pet ownership a little less stressful and a lot more organised.

Thank you for being one of the first people to join us.

We can't wait to show you what's coming next.

Welcome to PetKnow.

Let's build the future of pet care together. 🐾
