Why We're Creating PetKnow: Making Pet Care Simpler for Every Owner
Back in August last year, Ren suddenly started to struggle when urinating. After scans at our vets he was discovered to have a partial blockage, but sent us on our way while waiting for referral over the weekend. By Sunday Ren was vomiting and super lethargic and we knew we could wait any longer.
When we took him to the emergency vet, we realised we had no copies of his records, or any other information other than what we could remember, which in a stressful and emotional time, wasn't much.
It made us realise something: caring for our pets is incredibly important, but the information we need to care for them is often scattered across different places.
Medication details might be written down somewhere. Appointment reminders might be in a calendar. Health history might be stored in paperwork or messages. Important information is there, but not always when we need it most.
And that’s where PetKnow began.
